Daily Weigh-In X 2… Again

Yesterday 189.6

Today 190.0

I’m losing my motivation again.  I need to get focused.  I’m making my goal for the week just to make it an entire week without cheating.  All I did this last weekend was eat, I swear!  Felt so digusted.  I really just want to get to that 182 mark, I just don’t see it happening.  Ugh.  Maybe it’s time to start my list of motivations.

1.  Weigh 190 vs 232.

2.  Am in a size 18 vs 24.

3.  Can hoof it up the hills to and from work without thinking I’m going to die or that I need a break.

4.  There’s a lot more space between the steering wheel and my gut in the car.

5.  Don’t have to push the table away when sitting in the breakfast nook anymore.

That’s enough for today.  I just need… something.  I don’t even know what.  Just something.

First of all; stop weighing yourself so much that would de-motivate anyone! I weigh once a week and twice on Wednesday only to make sure my scale and Curves scales are the same. 2ndly you can eat just try healthy snacks carrots, fruit and leave the stuff that makes you feel so bad alone! I;ve struggeled for years and seeing the results yeah I cheat but not with junk I eat fruits nuts and watermelon lol lol Wish you all the best you can do it!!!

I would say you need to stop weighing yourself daily too. You don’t want to get discouraged becauase the scale shows a .4 change. Those ups and downs on the scale are going to happen because of water retention and all that. Just weigh yourself once or twice a week. Do the hard work to get it to move. And start trying to think positive. If you want it bad enough, you will make the sacrifices that it takes. You can do it!

Making a list is a great motivator. Just remember to keep it reasonable - you don’t want your list to discourage. I agree with WW - maybe not weighing in as much would help your motivation. Plus, when you were doing great - you’d see a big change in number, not just the 0.2s and 0.4s and that could provide motivation for the next week or day(s). Good job!

I agree with what everyone else has said - but I think the biggest key for me is loving myself NOW. Even BEFORE losing the weight. If I get depressed - it’s easy to stop caring about what I’m putting in my mouth - and I end up eating comfort foods (all of which seem to be really bad for you - why is that anyway?). So that’s my advice - work on loving yourself for everything you are already. When you get skinny - you will still be YOU - only skinnier. :) So why wait? YOU deserve the love TODAY!!
